Business Development Intern

Position Summary

This internship is a paid opportunity that will compensate $14.00 per hour. The Business Development Intern will have the ability to work remotely. We are seeking an individual that is outgoing, determined, motivated, and prepared to execute needed responsibilities. The intern will evaluate current company line-up comparing competitors' line-up to suggest new product development. The intern will be tasked with searching for new partnerships with a sales driven approach. This is a relationship-focused position, requiring you to have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to empathize with people of greatly varied experiences, and an appreciation for community-centered solutions. Individuals must be able to ensure effective and quick solutions to challenges we face within our sector. The intern will have the opportunity to occasionally work with the communications team to promote traction and awareness around the company. They will also have the ability to apply classroom based knowledge and learn essential career ready skills. Pain Into PURPOSE seeks an individual that not only has a great work ethic but an awesome and passionate personality to match.

Responsibilities

  • Work 10-20 Hours Per Week

  • Conduct research to identify potential business and partnership opportunities.

  • Responsible for creating business proposals.

  • Identify and foster relationships with existing partners, clients, and prospective partners and clients.

  • Responsible for supporting, planning, developing, and executing on recruiting strategies, and partnering with both external and internal stakeholders.

  • Research and analyze the company's sector to identify clients' needs and interests. 

  • Aid in website’s outreach language to attract potential business opportunities.

  • Assist in planning and preparing for upcoming events.

  • Attend weekly check-in meetings, and other meetings deemed appropriate.

  • Execute any and all other tasks assigned by their Supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Enrolled in 2 or 4 year College/University.

  • Working in a diverse and inclusive environment.

  • Ability to work remotely and without daily supervision.

  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Well rounded with the ability to evaluate and assess a business for its strengths and weaknesses.
