Pain Into Purpose is a Black Woman Owned Business that helps to motivate others to embrace their trauma, find their lost hope, and transform it into their purpose. We work on an individual and institutional level, including: life coaching, motivational speaking, and utilizing consulting expertise to organizations and communities. We are currently seeking a Social Media Intern to join our team.

Social Media Intern

Position Summary

This internship is a paid opportunity that will compensate $14.00 per hour. The Social Media Intern will have the ability to work remotely. The intern will curate, create, and monitor social media and website content and moderate discussions across the social media channels. This individual will work closely with members of the communications team to identify appropriate and timely content for the social media platforms and company website. Ultimately, they will help to increase growth through visitor and follower engagement, attract new partnerships, clients, and initiatives. They will have the ability to apply classroom based knowledge and learn essential career ready skills. Pain Into PURPOSE seeks an individual that not only has a great work ethic but an awesome and passionate personality to match.

Responsibilities

  • Work 7-12 Hours Per Week

  • Expected to attend and participate in all assigned company meetings, within tour of duty. 

  • Aid in creating and executing a results-driven social media strategy.

  • Assist in developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms.

  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.

  • Expected to attend requested events and produce live social media content.

  • Aid in creating a social media calendar.

  • Responsible for monitoring all social media channels content and activities.

  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.

  • Execute any and all other tasks assigned by their Supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Enrolled in 2 or 4 year College/University.

  • Working in a diverse and inclusive environment.

  • Ability to work remotely and without daily supervision.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms, and social media management tools.

  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools, digital media formats, and HTML.

  • Excellent social listening skills.

  • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space. 

  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask.

  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in digital and social media writing.

  • 1-3 years experience with B2C social media marketing or content development.

  • Direct experience using social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro) or equivalent digital media editing tools.
